Meet Katie!

Hi, I’m Katherine (Katie) Patrizi, a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor in Pennsylvania. I’m passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges and supporting them through times that feel overwhelming, uncertain, or just plain hard. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Duquesne University.

I strive to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly heard. I work from a trauma-informed perspective and understand how past experiences can shape the way we move through the world today. I believe healing happens best when it’s collaborative, compassionate, and at a pace that feels right for you.

My approach to therapy focuses on building a strong, trusting relationship while helping you develop greater self-acceptance and insight. I tailor my work to each individual, drawing from evidence-based practices and my experience in addictions counseling and residential psychiatric treatment for adolescents. This background allows me to support clients with a wide range of concerns and life experiences.

Outside the therapy room, I enjoy reading, listening to music, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Penguins!

I work with individuals, couples, families, teens, and emerging adults, and I support concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, OCD, ADHD, attachment and relationship issues, self-harm, phobias, low self-esteem, grief, caregiver burnout and compassion fatigue.

I am an LGBTQ+-affirming and neurodivergent-affirming therapist, and I welcome clients of all identities and backgrounds.
